The laptop is in closed clamshell mode and sitting on the twleve south bookarc which can be found at the apple stores. Using the asus 24inch monitor as my main display and it is also hooked up to a comcast cable hd box so not only does it function as a large monitor but you can watch 1080p tv on it (it has 1 HDMI port). no logitech drivers are needed and works well with Steermouse (mouse program for macs) ![]() has no problems and is perfect for daily activites and also gaming. the logitech z-2300 speakers are awesome and the sub makes lots of a power for a 2.1 computer system.īeen using the logitech mx518 for a few years now and it is by far the best and most reliable mouse i have ever owned. Music is played through itunes and uses the numark as the sound card. Besides, I dont find myself needing a num pad and the keyboard doesnt have any lag which i thought might be common with wireless peripherals. it works seamlessly with the macbook and is tiny. The apple wireless keyboard is the best keyboard i have ever used. I found the difference in PPI between the ACD and MBP is rather annoying when used side-by-side, and the glossy/matte difference exacerbated the situation. * You may wonder why I went with two ACDs instead of using the MacBook Pro's built-in 15" display alongside the 23" ACD. It'll be my main computer for at least 2½ years. I tried installing Leopard on it, and it took almost 6 hours. Mainly, the SD card slot is too slow to be useful as a bootable drive. Moving parts in laptops only spell trouble. It has a less-than-spectacular frame-rate, and performs sluggishly, but it works decently for text and palettes. The MacBook Pro can only drive one display while it is closed, so I got a ViBook USB DVI adapter to drive the 20" Cinema Display.Blue Lounge's CableBox keeps my surge protector and power cords hidden from sight, and provides a place to charge my iPhones and mouse.Well, the ports and SD slot are accessible, while the CD/DVD drive is up against the wall. Rain Design's mStand keeps my MacBook Pro cool and accessible.(Not officially supported on OS X, works great with SteerMouse.) After having several wireless mice that 'skip' during use, the Mamba was money well spent for smooth tracking. This setup has almost the same screen real estate, and equivalent speed and power as my 24" iMac, but I can easily throw it in a backpack and go anywhere to work. (Having two computers is a road I never want to travel again.) I think I managed to fulfill my expectations. For my MacBook Pro setup, I wanted to keep all the benefits of my iMac setup, but with the added option of portability.
